External Blinds For Screening Pergolas & Verandas From The Elements - Made In Britain
Pergolas and veranda are a popular and common feature in gardens, framing an outdoor space to provide a dedicated lounging/dining area. However, they lack all-year-round use, due to their open-sided construction.
External Roller Blinds whilst typically used in front of glazing, thanks to their unique zip lock mechanism, that locks the fabric in the side guides, rendering the blinds windproof, are a perfect addition to the sides of pergolas and verandas. By closing off the sides of the structure the space can continue to be enjoyed during inclement weather including rain and strong breezes as the blinds eliminate this. The windproof technology used in our external roller blinds is the same as used in the optional side screens on our louvered roofs, so are tested and proven for this purpose.
Whilst, when fitted with our unique Twilight mesh fabric that maintains the view through it, is also possible for the blinds to have a clear view window inserted allowing clear 2-way vision, often used for commercial applications.
For structures with glass or polycarbonate roofs, mounting an external roof blind to the top will during the Summer eliminate excessive heat build-up beneath the structure, whilst also diffusing bright light and offering high levels of protection from UV rays, ensuring a safe and comfortable space on the terrace.
