Top 6 Summer Tips

Only 14 days to go until summer is officially here, have you got your garden ready for the season ahead? It’s time to make the most of your outdoor living space this year so we have come up with 6 top tips to help you do just that.

1. Lay out your new decking/patio

If you haven’t already done so then you need to create a dedicated space in your garden for your outdoor living retreat. Take into consideration the positioning of your garden and where the sun is going to be the most and then you can determine where you need to lay your decking or patio.

2. Furnish

Select the right style furnishing to suite your lifestyle. If you are a worshipper of the sun then you may want to consider some sun beds. If you have a very social life then you may want to get an outdoor furniture set to accommodate your guests. If you enjoy the alfresco way of life then a stunning dinning set will be the ideal solution.

3. Firepit

If you really want to maximise on your space and extend the time you spend in your garden right through to the evenings then a fire pit is a great suggestion. There is nothing like a warm fire on a summers evening socializing with friends and family under the stars.

4. Soft Furnishings

Lift your outdoor furniture and give it some character with some colourful blankets and cushions. Give it a home comfort appeal to be desired by your family and friends.

5. Ambient Lighting

Harmonise your space with lighting and add another dimension to your space. Fairy lights will add a great touch to your evenings and if you have trees and plants in your garden then lighting these up will give it a dramatic effect.

6. Shelter

The British weather can be very unpredictable at times, it can be too hot at one point and the next minute you are blasted with a rain shower. Eliminate that problem by creating a sheltered space that will battle the elements. The Outdoor Living Pod™ is a great all weather pergola canopy that will give you complete control of how you spend your outdoor leisure time. The motorised remote control louvered roof can be rotated to the desired position providing sun, shade or shelter. It even has optional side screens, infrared heaters and LED lights to give you a fully functional outdoor living room in your very own back garden.

If a pergola is too much for you then you can always opt for a classic garden awning that you can deploy and retract whenever you need. The fabric is impregnated with TEXgard (a nano technology solution) which makes it resistant to nature’s elements so you can be protected from any sudden showers.
