Outdoor Living Pod™ Focal Point of Local Suffolk Garden Transformation

In April this year, Kate Marshall Garden Designs and Ashworth Landscapes teamed up with us to install an Outdoor Living Pod™ as part of a complete garden landscaping project at a residential property in Lower Holbrook, Suffolk.

The client required an outdoor space that was not only spacious enough for the whole family to relax in but also entertain friends too. The brief was a multifunctional dual-zoned area (seating and dining) that would provide flexibility and year-round use – even during a summer downpour or a colder, darker autumn/winter evening.

Our Outdoor Living Pod™ was the ideal solution as its rotating louvered roof and opening / closing side screens offers instant shade and shelter regardless of the weather, coupled with integrated LED lighting and heating, providing the client with an alfresco area that can be used comfortably, all year round.

Garden designer Kate Marshall explained: “Pergolas not only extend and transform the use of any garden by offering shade and shelter, but they naturally lend themself to framing the space and can make a striking structural feature, providing height and a sense of purpose. A retractable roof and sides offers even more versatility and can help maintain the open framing effect without compromising on design. My aim is always to entice people out into the garden and a pergola will undoubtedly create that ‘pull’.

We are increasingly treating our gardens as extensions of our homes – and rightly so. No longer viewed as just a place for a few plants, your garden is essentially an ‘outdoor room’ that can be specifically designed to suit your lifestyle, whether you enjoy lounging in the sun, entertaining friends or even cooking!”

After receiving an initial enquiry from the client in January, a member of our design team carried out a detailed on-site survey followed by a consultation meeting at our show site in Sudbury with the client and designer to review and finalise all details. Once signed off, the manufacturing process began for the bespoke Deluxe model Outdoor Living Pod™ which was later installed in April.

Ingeniously designed for those who want to live life outdoors, the Outdoor Living Podis the most flexible and adaptable garden room on the market, thanks to its innovative opening and closing louvered roof and sides, allowing the user to play with light and shade, offering an open-air alfresco feel when left fully open, and ensuring a completely water, wind and even snow-tight covering when closed. Suited to both classic or contemporary garden design, the Outdoor Living Pods™ allows you to make the most of your indoor/outdoor living space at all times of the day (or night) and in any weather.
