Training and Education: Empowering Trade Partners With Product Knowledge

Here at Caribbean Blinds, we believe that knowledge is power – especially when it comes to specifying and installing our luxury range of shading solutions. That’s why we provide real hands-on training for all our trade partners through our dedicated Installer Training Academy, right here at our HQ in Sudbury.

Our Installer Training Academy

Whether new to our products or experienced, we provide the necessary tools and comprehensive support to trade partners in the home improvement and outdoor living industry who are looking to successfully grow their business by partnering with Caribbean Blinds.

We offer two courses – one for our louvered pergolas and the other for our external blinds and awnings, with an option for a back-to-back course – providing in-depth training across all our product ranges over just two days. These courses have been designed to ensure that our trade partners fully understand how to correctly survey, install, adjust, commission and maintain our products.

Hands-on support

We don’t believe in dull classrooms and monotony. Our interactive and immersive training sessions take place in our dedicated 1,250sq/ft training space, with a maximum of 6 delegates per session meaning a 3:1 ratio with our two trainers, guaranteeing an optimum learning experience.

We also provide ‘bite-size’ training videos for all our products via our trade portal, which our installers have access to 24/7. These clear and concise visual training aids were highly welcomed during the pandemic, when our in-person training was unable to take place, and are popular to date, as quick prompts and reminders.

The benefits

At the end of each course, all delegates receive a certificate of competency and are added to our approved database of trained installers. In addition to marketing purposes, this certificate acts as reassurance for end clients regarding the installer’s ability, which is particularly important when it comes to high-value products.

Our Managing Director, Stuart Dantzic said: “Here at Caribbean Blinds, we understand the importance of training and education for our trade partners. It’s vital that they know how to correctly install and maintain our products, as well as being aware of all features, benefits and customisation options.

Our Installer Training Academy provides comprehensive product knowledge, installation insights and business support, ultimately helping our partners succeed in the sale and installation of our externa shading systems.

Through the additional resources we offer, including marketing materials, sales collateral and lead generation support, we empower our trade installers with the knowledge they require to achieve profitability through partnership with Caribbean Blinds.”

The cost of our full day training courses is just £100 per delegate, which includes a  welcome pack on arrival, lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
